The Ashburton park is used by many for the facilities and activities it provides. They all need to be supported and in many cases improved, which is one of the main aims of the Friends of Ashburton Park
Plans for the Library
There will be an exhibition of the latest plans for the Old Library building in Ashburton Library today (Friday 2nd September) from 12 - 5pm, and tomorrow (Saturday 3rd September) from 10am - 4pm. Council oficers will be on hand to answer questions and note comments....
Asbestos Survey of the Pavillion
Good news. The Council is to carry out an asbestos survey on the Pavillion, something that FOAP was previously expected to run with. This is needed before any works can be considered to the structure.

The Lodge
The lodge was the servants quarter for the old manor house. It currently has council tenants. The building also houses storage for the building contractors. The lodge has not been looked after in many years and is in poor condition.
